Correction, Dec. 16, 2021, 3:58 p.m. Central: For the last several days, the Department of State Health Services incorrectly double counted some people who received a booster shot when totaling the number of fully vaccinated people because of a data processing error. This means 55.6% of people are fully vaccinated as of Dec. 14, not 56% as previously reported.
Correction, Dec. 10, 2021, 8:16 p.m. Central: Between Dec. 1 and 9, the Department of State Health Services undercounted confirmed cases by 16,884 and probable cases by 4,023 because of an error in their process for gathering data. This did not affect the positivity rate on those days, which was reported correctly. The case numbers have been corrected.
Correction, Sept. 15, 2021, 7:06 p.m. Central: A previous headline for this story incorrectly stated that the COVID-19 death toll in Texas on Sept. 15 was near 6,000. The correct number of deaths on that date was near 60,000.
Clarification, Sept. 14, 2021, 9:42 a.m. Central: The number of total available ICU beds does not include pediatric ICU beds. As of Sept. 1, DSHS started reporting separate totals for available adult and pediatric ICU beds.

Correction, Feb. 20, 2021, 10:30 p.m. Central: An earlier version of this tracker incorrectly labeled a chart of vaccines administered each day. The chart showed vaccines reported to the state, not vaccines administered. This was corrected on Feb. 19.
Correction, Feb. 20, 2021, 10:30 p.m. Central: On Feb. 19, the state reported that Texas has administered 22.5 million tests for the coronavirus since March. They corrected that number on Feb. 20 to account for a lower number of tests administered in the previous week, and the new total is 22.4 million. We have adjusted our figures to reflect their data.
